Jungle Equipment
Most excursions into a jungle environment will require you to take your own eating equipment and sleeping unit. You will most likely be expected to carry your own daily water supplies as well. Mess tins give you a receptacle to boil water in, cook in and eat out of as well as a protective storage space when packed away.
You may be staying in park ranger accomodation in which case you will only need a mosquito net, lightweight sleeping bag and a sleeping bag liner otherwise you will be setting up camp in the jungle using a hammock, mosquito net and basha. You can buy these items as separate units which allows you to use them in other situations, or you can buy a jungle unit such as the Hennessy Hammock Asym.
For water you will need to allow at least 6 litres for drinking. A water chamber such as the Camelbak Unbottle 2 litre or the Platypus Hoser 2 litre packs neatly away and allows you to drink on the move. They also 'collapse' as they become empty. For your other water supplies split it up into 1 litre units to enable you to spread the weight.
