Safari
In today's world a safari is generally a trip to observe or photograph wildlife. This is often underaken by vehicle but could also be on foot or by canoe, or even airborne by microlight or hot air balloon. The nights are usually under canvas. This means you are in the outdoors 24 hours a day from the cold of the early morning through the heat of the day to the warm evenings. Your battles will be with the sun, cold, insects and dehydration, bear this in mind during your preparation. The chances are your sleeping arrangements will be organised for you and the company you are on safari with will inform you of what sleeping equipment you will need to bring, if any.
