The North Face have eliminated padding from areas which is it not needed to maximise the amount of airflow the back receives. Using X-Radial frame, The North Face have developed a way to support the toploading backpack in strength and stability whilst keeping it light.  Opti Fit adjustment system on and around the straps and harness allow for a more comprehensive fit on a wider demographic.
Access to the main compartment can be gained through the top of the rucksack and through the front utilising a zipper. To the top of the backpack you will find that there is a zipper pocket on the lid and this lid detaches from the main body of the bag. Along with this level of versatility there are additional pockets in and around the bag and attachment points for excess gear.
As this is an alpine backpack the proportions somewhat differ to regular  toploader, as the width is narrower however the height volume compensates for this. This creates a more concentrated but comfortable level of stability.
