For travel or activities which take you away from reliable medical facilities, make a risk assessment of what you think you need. Ensure you kit includes: rehydration sachets, non adherent dressings, micropore or zinc oxide tape, pain killers, insect bite treatment, antihistamines, plenty of first aid items such as plasters and medication to treat an upset stomach, travel sickness if you suffer from it and a sterile kit. For travel to high risk malaria zones you will need to include antimalarials.
