Imodium Original Capsules are a stopper for diarrhoea. Useful for long journeys or travel situations where diarrhoea would be very inconvenient (and embarrasing). We also recommend that you always use rehydration methods as your primary treatment for diarrhoea recovery.

Imodium 2mg Capsules contain loperamide hydrochloride and can be used to treat both sudden, short lived attacks of diarrhoea and diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Imodium Original Capsules work by making stools more solid and less frequent. They slow the activity of the intestines and the movement of water and chemicals through the bowel and can stop diarrhoea in just one dose.

To treat short lived attacks of diarrhoea, you should take 2 capsules to begin with and then a further 1 capsules after any future episodes, exceeding no more than 8 capsules over a 24 hour period.

To treat IBS related diarrhoea, you should take 2 capsules to begin with and then a further 1 to 2 to control future episodes depending on their severity.
