The SteriPEN Adventurer Opti UV Water Purifier is equipped with a new optical water sensor for reliable performance so you can enjoy clean, purified water on the go. 

The Opti is the smallest, lightest SteriPEN and uses a revolutionary optical eye to sense the water. This amazing technology ensures safe use and provides purification in even the coldest of waters.

Super easy to use, after pressing the button to activate the SteriPEN, immerse the lamp and optical sensor. Then the UV lamp will activate and emit UV light and visible blue light. Ultraviolet (UV-C) light rays will safely sterilise clear water by destroying 99.99% of protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidia ), bacteria and even viruses.

The SteriPEN Adventurer Opti requires no pumping, chemicals, test strips, extended time-keeping or filters; leaves no aftertaste, will not clog and does not require lubrication. Purifies 500mls of water (cold or warm) in less than a minute, or 1 litre in a minute and a half.

The small size fits most containers�use it in cups, mugs, water bottles and canteens; carries easily in a shirt pocket. Use only on clear water, as cloudy, sediment-laden water hinders effectiveness.

The optical sensor also doubles as a convenient LED flashlight.  It�s a great backup light when camping or taking a night-time walk to refill your water bottle. The Flashlight mode is activated by pressing and holding the single button down for 3 seconds. The clear lamp cover focuses the LED light.

The AdventurerOpti retail package includes 2 non-rechargeable (disposable) CR123 batteries and a neoprene case with belt loop. Device works with containers with minimum 1.75 in. diameter opening (ie Nalgene wide-mouth bottles).
