The North Face Leonidas Jacket has been carefully selected from The North Face Summit Series collection. Chosen for its technical approach to being lightweight and waterproof, this garment is a great choice for a journey more demanding. Starting from the hood, there is a great range of adjustability for the accommodation of a helmet or not. In addition the visor is a laminated one with a wire throughout to adjust accordingly, giving the user more control of weather protection. The drawstrings that allow this to happen are hidden away inside the face fabric of the hood. The North Face have given this garment a four-way stretch face fabric which has been developed to give a higher level of manoeuvrability, without compromising the quality of waterproofing. This level of flexibility allows for a more comfortable feel whilst closer to the body especially when harnessing the application of drawstrings in the hem.
The use of Hyvent 2.5 PU layer coating and taped seams completes this jacket to yield the ability of it being completely waterproof, breathable and lightweight, with no compromise. The breathability is greatly enhanced by the function of pit zips to the under arm to allow the user to control the airflow of the jacket, greatly enhancing the wicking process or perspiration.

The North Face Matthes Crest 72

The North Face Matthes Crest 72 is a slim line technical and dynamic rucksack, a serious choice for expeditions.

The North Face Matthes Crest 72 is an expedition pack designed meticulously with weight distribution and back ventilation in mind. The North Face have eliminated padding from areas which is it not needed to maximise the amount of airflow the back receives. Using X-Radial frame, The North Face have developed a way to support the toploading backpack in strength and stability whilst keeping it light.  Opti Fit adjustment system on and around the straps and harness allow for a more comprehensive fit on a wider demographic.
Access to the main compartment can be gained through the top of the rucksack and through the front utilising a zipper. To the top of the backpack you will find that there is a zipper pocket on the lid and this lid detaches from the main body of the bag. Along with this level of versatility there are additional pockets in and around the bag and attachment points for excess gear.
As this is an alpine backpack the proportions somewhat differ to regular  toploader, as the width is narrower however the height volume compensates for this. This creates a more concentrated but comfortable level of stability.
