Having worn these sandals during my two month expedition to Oman (Middle East), they were one of the most beneficial pieces of equipment I brought with me!
We traversed across a variety of landscapes during the two months. In the first month we were based in the sandy desert, before moving on to the desert-mountains. The sandals were comfortable, light and dealt well with the intrusive sand. We were presented with further challenging terrain in the desert mountains where the ground was dry, crumbly and slippy. They provided fantastic grip when walking around the base camp here.
In the second month, we were on the coastline where the setting was significantly wetter and more vegetated. These sandals retained their grip and resilience through rivers, the sea shore, and up steep crumbly slopes. However, without a cover for the toe, these should not be relied on for hiking on steep slopes. In summary – they are great for a variety of terrains!
