Victoria Nomad's News:
Jordan visited Saudi Arabia over Christmas to spend time with her family. They took a fab trip along the East coast on a search for arrowheads and fossils in an area which used be a sea. They picked up some very interesting artifacts. Jordan gave her family the Freeloader Pro solar recharger which has a special adaptor for camera batteries, perfect for the desert.
During January, Kevin met up with his relatives from down under and took them to see the wonders of two of Europe's cities. First stop was Girona (near Barcelona) in Spain for a relaxing escape of Tapas, walking and er more Tapas! They made a not to be missed visit to the Dali Museum and enjoyed all the other attractions of that fab city. The second stop was Perugia (Italy) for more of the same. Food, Food and a little Red Wine thrown in was enough of a reason to visit Italy again. Kevin said, After spending a few months in Italy late 2007 it was great to be back amongst the friendly people and beautiful landscapes that is Tuscany/Umbria. The weather was colder than even snowy London due to a very strong wind especially at night time(hence the red wine). Unlike when I was in Brugge last month I was prepared this time with an Icebreaker thermal shirt, North Face beanie, gloves and a Berghaus Primaloft Jacket.

| Victoria Staff member's favourite kit this month: Tristan's (Victoria Store Manager) favourite product this month is the Power Monkey eXplorer. He says that "I was in the middle of a phone call to my bank transferring money as there was no internet in the little village I was staying in and the battery died. The Power Monkey eXplorer has a solar charger for it so luckily I could keep in touch with the real world!" |
