Manchester Nomad's News:

Hi Justin here Manager at Manchester. We’ve been busy here with evening events.  We had a special Meet the Suppliers event for the Manchester Met Hiking Club. Berghaus came and ran through the ins and outs of their high spec jackets and Ice breaker showed us how great their range of thermals  really are.  Come in and check them out for yourself!

Richard here, i’m involved in organising events for the Hiking club. We’ve just had an awesome kayaking trip in wales . drybags  and Aqua pouches were invaluable. We’ve got some great outdoor events coming up including a trek along the Edale skyline in the High Peak on 28th Feb.  We will all be sure to take very warm hats and gloves to protect against the wind!

Christmas has been and gone, however Simon Calder of the Independent has some great tips here for presents at any time of the year, watch his webcast here:


Nicola is going to Ireland 19th – 22nd to celebrate a birthday in true Irish style.  She is planning to walk some of the causeway coast and will be making sure she has her Leki trekking poles and lowe alpine day bag.
