Time spent in Kathmandu and Pokhara completes the adventure with insights into Nepali culture and tradition.

Sights of the expeditionJoin the Annapurna Dhaulagiri trip!

This wonderful walking trip follows trails less travelled, through remote terrain, with incredible views of Dhaulagiri (the 7th highest mountain in the world at 8,167 metres) and the Annapurna range. Staying in herder villages and comfortable lodges built as a joint venture between Intrepid and the local community, the profits benefit local schools and village projects. Note: No special skills are needed, but to enjoy the trek a good level of fitness is required as you will be trekking 3-6 hours per day on hilly terrain, generally on well-defined paths. Altitude may exceed 3800m.

Nine departures of the Annapurna Dhaulagiri trip are organised for the 2014/15 trekking season, starting in Kathmandu on Sept 20th, Oct 4th & 18th, Nov 1st & 29th, Dec 27th, Mar 21st, Apr 4th and May 2nd. All are 14 days / 13 nights, and cost from just £1,125 per person. The itinerary includes 2 days in Kathmandu with a guided city tour and 2 nights in Pokhara in a comfortable hotel with a pool, to relax at the end of the wonderful 9-day trek.
