What a cool bag
This is just such a cool bag. Superbly made from heavy weight canvas, big enough for wallet / phone /bits and bobs.....I love it. My wife calls it my man bag.....lol.....it's just cool! By Ian from Leominster
Sahara Indiana - The wear & tear of the vintage look?
Being the geek I am I had to get this item. It's one of the best modern renditions of the old mark 7 gasmask bag I've seen. I was devastated when the one my grandad had used was stolen from me. So this has been a very cool discovery. When the item arrived I noticed there was some wear on the strap webbing. As if someone had been pulling the webbing through forcefully. Maybe the end is too narrow for the width of strap? That being said it's the only thing that could be deemed a fault, and kind of adds to the vintage look. I would have rated the bag a 5 but for that bit of wear. By Gary
Great bag, Best I've had in years.
I have had mine for a few weeks now & have to say I am really happy with it. I used to get bags similar to this from army surplus stores when I was a kid & they were great, I used them all through school & college & even carried one when I worked as a dispatch rider riding from London to Glasgow & Edinburgh a couple of times a week, sadly the old army surplus stores a few & far between now so I was really pleased when I stumbled across this bag online. It's just as sturdily made as the ones I used to get & has a real vintage look & feel to it. If I have one small gripe it is that the zip would have been better fitted the other way around, I am right handed & when wearing it on my right side the zip opens from the back to the front of the bag, I usually keep a water bottle in the smaller section of the bag & it would be handy if I could just leave that part of the zip open to get to the bottle with out opening the bag fully. Otherwise it is certainly the best every day carry bag I have had in years. plenty of room for my mp3 player, ebook, water bottle & other bits I may need & there are couple of handy sections on the back so I can keep tickets & small local maps handy. The strap is nice & wide which spreads the load well, I carried it for about 12 hours around London yesterday & hardly knew it was there. A great bag well pleased :-)
