Doxycycline

Doxycycline 100mg capsules are a highly effective antimalarial, protecting against severe strains of malaria found worldwide, particularly in Africa and parts of Asia.

Take one capsule daily, starting 2 days before entering a malaria-risk area, continuing throughout your stay, and for 4 weeks after leaving the area or returning to the UK.

Swallow each capsule with plenty of water while sitting or standing, ideally after food, and remain upright for around 1 hour to prevent stomach irritation. For maximum protection, use Doxycycline alongside DEET-based insect repellent and other bite-prevention measures, as no medication offers complete protection against malaria or other insect-borne diseases.

Doxycycline is generally well tolerated. Common side effects include heartburn, indigestion, and increased sensitivity to sunlight. Rarely, allergic reactions such as an itchy rash or facial swelling may occur.

• Combine tablets with bite-prevention measures to reduce your risk.
• Not suitable for children under 12 years.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have other health conditions or are taking regular medication.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Always read the instructions and patient information leaflet before use.

• If your travel involves trips into and out of malaria zones lasting less than 4 weeks, take antimalarials for the entire period.
• For travel longer than 4 weeks outside malaria zones, treat each entry into a malaria-risk area as a separate course.

Once received, our team will review the information and provide guidance on the next steps based on the nature of the issue.

Please allow up to 5 to 7 working days for your order to be processed. This timeframe includes completion of the online health assessment, clinical review, prescription (where applicable), and dispensing and dispatch by the supplier.

Standard Delivery Orders are sent using a tracked 48-hour courier service.

Tracking Information Tracking details will be provided by the courier, provided that a valid mobile number and or email address has been supplied at the time of ordering.

Our team will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange for replacement items to be sent.
